Planning Board adopts city's first Open Space and Recreation Plan

NJ CLIFTON — Clifton Planning Board adopts its first Open Space and Recreation Plan. Unanimously approved as an element of the city's Master Plan, the plan, prepared by Barbara Haskins Davis of the Land Conservancy of New Jersey, positions the city to pursue public funding for parks and recreation facilities expansion. The Board also approved a minor subdivision at 147-149 Penobscot Street for SP Construction and Renovation LLC, and granted approval to an amendment for the Islamic Center of Passaic County, Inc., in a 9-to-1 vote, with Councilman D'Amato dissenting on procedural concerns about prejudgment.
Mayor Grabowski directed the City Council to investigate ways to address traffic issues in the neighborhood.
