Clifton Council passes sidewalk repair ordinance, consolidates communications

NJ CLIFTON — Clifton Council passes sidewalk cost-share program, approves $1.8M park grant. The City Council unanimously approved Ordinance 8080-25 establishing regulations for shared sidewalk repair costs, while two salary compensation ordinances passed 6-1 with Councilwoman Sadrakula dissenting. The council also took first reading on six traffic and parking ordinances scheduled for March 3 final passage.
Among 30 resolutions approved, the council authorized a $1.806 million New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Green Acres Program grant application for Surgent Park improvements with no required local match. The council consolidated telecommunications services with Spectrotel Holding Company at $13,500 monthly, down from separate Verizon and Windstream contracts totaling $20,000 monthly.
